About Valley Septic Help
Valley Septic Help is a local information and referral website for septic tank pumping, repair and installation in the Rio Grande Valley of Texas: McAllen, Edinburg, Brownsville, Harlingen and the communities around them.
What we do
We do two things:
- Help you understand your septic system. Our guides answer the questions Valley homeowners ask most: how to tell if a tank is full, what pumping costs, how often to pump, what causes odors and what heavy rain does to a system.
- Connect you with a local provider. When you call the number on this site, your call goes to an independent septic provider who serves your area.
What we don't do
We are not a septic company. We don't pump, repair or install systems, and we don't hold contractor, installer or hauler licenses. The provider you talk to is responsible for the quote, the work, permits, licenses and insurance. See how it works.
How our content is researched
- Official and well-known sources first. Our information comes from sources such as the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ), Texas A&M AgriLife, the National Weather Service, the USDA and the Hidalgo and Cameron County governments. Each guide lists its sources at the end.
- Local, not generic. We write about the Valley's soils, weather, permits and communities, not about places with basements and snow.
- Prices are ranges, not quotes. Cost figures come from published cost surveys and are labeled as typical ranges. Only the provider can give you a price for your home.
- Reviewed regularly. We review every guide at least every three months and update the date at the top when something changes.
- No paid reviews or ratings. We don't publish reviews, testimonials or star ratings.
